Flying Mounts Part 1 - Human Flying Mounts

Cash shop Flying Mounts are a luxury, not all of us are able to enjoy, they are kind of expensive, and lets face it, we are given a free flying mount at level 30, why should we spend money on one of them fancy flying machines?  Ok, so, maybe some of you out there don't really think that way, some of you like the status and the looks you get when you are flying on your Uber expensive flying mount.  So, for all of you out there who are in the market for a new flying mount, you have come to the right place.

Just like the riding mounts, let's find out what flying mounts give you the best bang for your buck.

Since there are so many flying mounts available in the game, I thought it would be best to break this down into individual races.  Today we are going to cover the human Flying mounts.  The biggest difference in this article, from the Riding mount comparison is, we are not going to include appearance scores.  My feeling is, I can't really tell the difference between mounts, so, unless your flying of the rose gold gourd, I am oblivious to the appearance of your mount.

For scoring the flying mounts, I am going to use cost, minimum speed, haste speed and minimum levels that the mount is available.  So, lets get started then!!

Note: All Screen shots were provided to me by Ecatomb.  This is a wonderful website with lots of great information regarding PWI.  If you were not aware of this site, I do recommend you check it out

Pachscar's Spite (#1)
Pachscar's Spite is the lowest cost flying mount, at $5.00, but with that it is also the slowest mount you can buy in the cash shop.  Although it is faster than the Standard P.O.S you get at level 30, its not a huge increase, at 1.0, and a whopping 3.0 haste.  The sword IS available at level 30 though. It is kinda blue and shiny.  It's not a bad looking flying mount, and for the price, is decent.  But the speed is a huge bummer.

Rashnu (#7)
Rashnu is the next most cheapest mount at $7.50, this is a sound buy. With speeds of 1.5 and 3.5 haste, you get a little speed out of this. Still not enough for my taste, and on top of that, it is not available until level 50. It looks similar to Pachscar's but also has a green swirly thing.

Yofial's Star (#3)
Yofial's Star is $10.00, so, what do you get for that? You get the same stats as you do with Rashnu, the 1.5 and the 3.5, but the minimum level is dropped to 30.  I do like the look of this mount though. It looks like it is ablaze in electricity.

Nakir's Judgement (#5)
Nakir's Judgement is a big flaming poky stick, it is $17.50, its speeds are 2.0 and 4.0 haste speed.  it is also available at leel 30. this is a solid buy in my mind.

Daevas (#9)

Daevas is in a group of 3 riding mounts that all go for $25.00.  The initial speed s 2.5 and haste speed is 4.5.  Available at level 50,  would call Daevas a girl's riding mount.  No real reason, is just looks like it to me.  I would not make fun if I saw a Dude riding it though.

Zuriel's Blade (#2-tied)
Zuriel's is number two in the $25.00 group.  Same speeds as Daevas at, 2.5 and 4.5 haste.  Available at level 20, Zuriels blade is the flying mount that looks like a gold flying sword with a bunch of prongs off the back end of it.  It is gold and has little gold swirly things.

Laila's Heart (#2-tied)
Laila's Heart is number 3 in the $25.00 group.  Same speeds as the other two at 2.5 and 4.5 haste.  Laila's heart is finally something that looks unique.  Resembling a claw instead of a sword.  I give it credit for that.  It is available at level 20 also.

Urim's Light (#4)
Urim's light goes for $30.00 in the cash shop.  It is pretty pricey.  But a very nice looking flying mount, very wide and BIG.  Green lights.  It has a speed of 3.0 which is really good and its haste speed is 5.0.  It is available at level 20.

Astral Melody(#8)
Astral Melody is deffinately a girl flying mount.  It is big, it is purple and it is curvy.  It is nice to look at, but at $40.00 is the second most expensive Human Flying Mount.  It has a speed of 3.0 and haste of 6.0, so it is very fast, and it is available at a minimum level of 30.

Rose Gold Gourd(#6)
God I think this thing is aweful.  I do not know how it got thrown into the mix with the other human flying mounts, but think it is rather shameful.  It is also the most expensive mount at $50.00.  But, on the other side.  It is the fastest at 3.2, and haste of 6.2.  And on top of that, available at level 10.  So, it does have those things going for it.  And if you can get past the idea of flying a veggie, have at it.

So, there you go, Human Flying mounts Compared.  I hope this helps you in your Perfect World International, Quest for air supremacy.

Perfect world International Character Class Build Guides

Build Guides,
When I started this blog, I didn’t really know what I was going for.  I figured I would just use it to talk about my time playing perfect world.  But what I noticed, when I really started thinking about it all.  Was, when I search the internet for information about Perfect world international, I sometimes have a very difficult time finding anything.  I know that this is not due to lack of interest in the game, but just a lack of people willing to share information about the game.  And one of the Biggest Questions I see is about Character Builds and guides for building the best character, whether that is a Wizard or Blademaster, Asassin or Venomancer, Everyone wants to make sure they are building their characters properly.  You all want to make sure you are allocating your Attribute points properly, or using the best weapon for your class, or Genie skills.  It is all very subjective, but I wanted to provide you with rock solid tips on building your own perfectworld Character.

I am placing my guides in many locations, and I have started a new website, it is called Perfect World International Tips.  The web site has a blog, and a forum and a location with all my external guides and build guides.  It is very young and I am still trying to build membership, but I can promise you that any question asked will get my personal attention in a very quick fashion.

Below are all the build guides I have complete so far.  There are, of course many more to come, and as soon as I can find the time I will be adding more to the list.

I hope that these guides give you some good insight into the inner workings of your perfect world Character.  And while I try to show you all possible variables in building a perfect world character, I will try not to tell you that there is only one way to build your character, because there is not, there are many different methods that can be used to build any of the perfect world classes and a lot will depend on what it is you are trying to accomplish.

Again, if you need more information, please visit me at Perfect world International tips.  I am not trying to sound desperate, but I would like to site to succeed but will need reader participation in order to validate myself! :)

Mount Rush Perfect World International Riding Mount Comparison

('DiggThis’)
So, the big promo at Perfect World international right now is the new mounts.  Well, the old RIDING MOUNTS brought back out permanently.  And, although I do agree that having a riding mount in Perfect world is almost a must, it is such a time saver and coin saver.  Nobody wants to huff it half way across the map, and spending the coin to teleport all over the place seems like such a coin waste.

So, what is a riding mount?  Well, in technical terms it is a mode of transportation within Perfectworld, but for a lot of people, a riding mount is a thing to show off.  I would like to see a show of hands, who thinks it is pretty bad ass to see a smexy little veno riding on top of a Hell Hound.  Or your decked out, geared up Blademaster sporting a Ancestral Kirin?  I know I like it, it looks pretty cool to me!  But, when it boils right down to it, I am more about utility than I am flash, and being that, I would like to do a little compairison of all the riding mounts currently available in the perfect world cash shop.  Dollar for dollar, I would like to see what packs the most punch.  Variables I am going to consider are, of course, cost.  But also, initial speed, max speed, minimum level, and appearance.  I am actually going to include two numbers.  One without the appearance value added and one with the appearance value added, this way you can weigh the appearance on your own.  If you don’t much like my tastes.

For the formulas, they look something like this.
Strictly Utilitarian
-Cost +Initial speed +Maximum speed –Minimum level = total (negative number)

For appearance included
-Cost +Initial speed +Maximum speed –Minimum level = total (negative number) + Appearance Value(1-100) = total

Here are the results….In no special order.  First Number it’s place for utilitarian and the second is its place with appearance, 1-12, because there are 12 riding mounts being compared

Chieftains Battlecat (7,10)
The battlecat is one of the more expensive mounts, at $35.00, and it has a minimum level of 60, both of these factors are really what controlled its score.  I thought it would have placed higher in the appearance score because I rated it pretty high, but it could not overcome.
Initial speed = 10
Max Speed = 11

Ancient Boa (3,7)
Again, the Ancient boa is the most expensive, at $40.00.  But, it makes up for that in being available at a minimum level of 20.  This is what caused it to place so high in the utility score.  But, I find it ugly and annoying, that is why it dropped like it did in the appearance score.
Initial speed = 10
Max speed = 11

Hell Hound (7,8)
The Hell hound tied the Battlecat in utility score because it is identical.  Stats are the same and cost is $35.00, with minimum level being 60.  It did better in the appearance category, because I find it to be one of the best looking mounts in the game.
Initial speed = 10
Max speed = 11

Scarlet Ninetails (3,3)
I am a little surprised that the Scarlet Ninetails did so well in appearance, I didn’t rate it too high.  It is too girly for me, but it did well anyway.  Cost is the top, $40.00, and minimum level is the same as the Boa at 2o.  Turns out, if you’re a girl, you would be hard pressed to find a better mount, if that is the look your going for.
Initial speed = 10
Max speed = 11

Windsprint Panther (2,9)
Windsprint Panther did so well in the utility scores, almost completely because of cost.  At $7.50, it is pretty close to the bottom of the barrel.  And with a minimum level of 40, it falls right in the middle.  Appearance is really plain, which brought its appearance score down quite a bit.  It is slow, but speed played only a small part in the equation, being that the difference is not that great between the fastest and the slowest.
Initial speed = 8
Max speed = 9

Polaris Snow Cub (1,6)
No surprise here.  Being the Cheapest mount in the game speaks for something.  At $5.00, this is the bargain of the game.  And also having the level 40 minimum put it ahead of the Panther by a hair.  As far as appearance, I find it more appealing than the panther and that reflects in the score.
Initial speed = 8
Max speed = 9

Chubbs (5,5)
I am actually a big fan of Chubbs.  He is tall and bulky and you can always see him coming.  At $10.00, I think he is a great buy.  It is really too bad that his minimum level is 60, because his speed makes him an all around competitor otherwise.  Like I said, I think he looks cool, giving him the same score in both utility and appearance.
Initial speed = 9
Max speed = 10

Quick Sika Reindeer (5,11)
I always just assumed this would just stay a Christmas promo mount.  But it looks like it is here to stay.  Stats and cost make it rate the same as Chubbs, being that it too is $10.00, and has a minimum level of 60, but I don’t like it, appearance points drop this close to the bottom.  It kinda is annoying for me to see.
Initial speed = 9
Max speed = 10

Ancestral Kirin (6,2)
I think the Kirin is the best looking mount in the game.  It screams bad ass from a mile away.  And if it would be just a better value it would have taken top marks in the appearance category, but at $15.00, and a minimum level of 60, it has to take a lower place.
Initial speed = 9
Max speed = 10

Vicious Raptor (6,12)
Being that statistically it is the same as the Kirin, it tied for 6th in utility, but I gave it the lowest appearance score, same as the panther, because I don’t think it belongs in the game…. It’s a dinosaur, how does that fit at all???
Initial speed = 9
Max speed = 10

Silver Mane (4,4)
Silver mane is a good all around pick.  It is also available through DQ trade in.  I am forgetting the cost of DQ’s at the moment, but it is around 50coppers I believe.  At $20.00 it is a little expensive, being that it can be had at no cost in game, and minimum level is 40, which is about right.  Appearance keeps it in line with utility score at fourth place.  I think this is a very good mount.  Very under rated in my mind.
Initial speed = 8
Max speed = 9

Violet lightning (4,1)
Violet is statistically the same as silver.  Cost is the same at $20.00, it too is available through DQ, and minimum level is 40 also.  Appearance drove this to the top.  I will not be riding a purple horse, but it looks pretty cool riding by.
Initial speed = 8
Max speed = 9

There you have it, Perfect World riding mounts as I see them.  I hope this helps you make your choices.  Good luck and fun playing!!

Perfect world International Resources

There are many sites out there that can offer you great resources to Perfect World International.  Some of them you may already know about.  Some of them I have already talked about.  And some of them will be new found gems for many of you Perfect World Gamers out there.

Way back when I first started playing Perfect World, one of the first issues I noticed was lack of "Unofficial" support.  What I mean is, with some games, Like World of Warcraft, there are hundreds of sites that offer help and tips and tricks, quest guides and all other sort of interesting information you may need to streamline your playtime.  See, for me, I only get to play in small spurts, and when I am on, I want my time to be used as wisely as possible.  I hate, let me emphasize, I HATE running around in circles, trying to find this NPC or that mob in order to complete quests or find specific drops.  So, I went on a hunt.  For sites that provide information that I found super useful.  Sites that all offer different kinds of info.  Lets see what I came up with.

First site is the Perfect world International forums.  This is one of the best places to find info, if you can handle to forum trolls, your almost certain to find answers to any question you may have.  They have build guides, and quest guides, tips and tricks, and just about anything you can imagine.

Number two in my heart! The Perfect world Database.  This has all items you can possibly think of.  All weapons and gears, all mobs and quests, all mats and locations of those mats.  It is just a great site and a must bookmark for any hardcore.

Number Three for me would be Ecatomb.  Ecatomb really has a handle on class skills, fashion and mounts, and battle pets.  Genie skills and even has a player calculator....This calculator pales to my number four site though so just hold off on that.

My fourth choice is just called Perfect World: Calculator.  That is all it is, but it is a really really good one.  It has all the equipments, all the possible mods attribute adjustability.  It is a great site for planning ahead.  You can even save your character.  This is a wonderful site to have available during your time off the game.

Last site I want to bring up is one I use in the quest guides a lot and that is the Interactive Map for Perfect World.  This map shows you locations for just about everything you can need or find in Perfect world.  It is a great way to set up farming runs.  One I use frequently.

So, there you have it.  Some great Perfect World International Resources for all you who may be interested.  Good luck and good gaming!

Perfect world Blog Reworked

Welcome to the Perfect world Blog.  This is going to be an attempt to offer all my fellow Perfect worlders a place to come and find anything they may need.  I have spent a lot of time with this game and have learned a lot along the way.  I may not know it all, and I will never proclaim that I do.  But I will try to provide all who may find me with valuable Perfect world information.  I will be adding quest tips, Guild information, and I will try to have fun polls and places for all to ask questions.  I will attempt to make this something worth keeping around, kinda like a swiss army knife.  And who doesn't love those, I mean, really?

For those of you who may not know.  I am Leonard.  I am also known as BashUsillY on the heavens tear server.  I am currently a level 28 blademaster.....What??? a level 38 BM Noob is gonna drop knowledge on me?  Nah.  Like I said, I have been around.  I have had a BM before who I leveled into the upper 70's.  I have had a cleric I leveled to 87, a barb, he was 63, and various others along the way.  I have been playing since perfect world international went live.  I have had some time off here and there but it never fails, I just keep coming back for one reason or another.  Maybe it is some form of insanity, for for whatever reason, I just enjoy this game.  It is expansive, and it is free, and what more can you truly ask for in a game??

So, if you look around this blog right now, you may not see much, but that is going to change, I am currently writing the quest guides for 1-19 for ALL races, yeah you got that right!  All races.  I know they have been done before, but I will try to make  them spicy and fun.  I have played all races up to level 20, so my notes are fresh and spanky clean!

Also on this blog I will be offering easy access to all my favorite sites that I have used along the way.  Amazingly enough, there are several great sites that belong in everyone's knowledge base, so, I would like to make sure you all can get to them nice and easy.

One more thing of note today.  You will see that I mention the PWI VANDALS, a lot in posts.  That is my guild, my guild is pretty much a no show right now, meaning not so many people who are members are playing and since I am only a level 38 BM, I have decided to give recruiting a rest until I get myself leveled, and at the rate that I level, that may be a while.  But, no rush, if you wanna go join the guildy sight, feel free, I would not say you couldn't just cause you were not a member of my guild.  I don't roll that way at all.

Anyway,
Happy playing, and stop back soon, there will be more to come!!
