Perfect World Cleric for a PvP Server - Part 4

I have not forgotten about this blog!!  Even though I have not had the time to really play Perfect world, and I have been dedicating my time with other writing, I have not abandoned this blog.  In fact, I am here to announce that I have just published my Ultimate Perfect World International Cleric Build Guide.  Whew! That is a mouth full.  Anyway, it is just like my others.  They are a guide geared toward players who are under level 60 or so.  I figure anyone who is over level 60 has a pretty good idea of how to play.  Maybe I am wrong, but that is my belief. 

As for other things.  I still have a lot of plans.  My PvP Cleric is level 60 something-ish.  I have not played in several months though.  So I am not exactly positive on the level.

But, in any case let me do a quick run down of what I have going on with her.  She, like I said is level 60 something.  I have not had a whole lot of run ins with ganking lately.  And what I have run into has been a bit easier to handle.  Unless it is a level 100 Assassin, then I don't even have a chance to react. I'm just dead.  But with people near my level, I have found a cleric a very good PvP class.  The biggest trouble being Barbarians for me.  There is just so much Hp to deal with in a Barbarian, My Mana drains and I start burning the crap out of my charm. 

From personal experience, I have found that blademasters are easy unless they are proficient at stun locking.  That Wizards are really the easiest class I have faced yet, and that Venomasters are not so tough.  Sins and Barbs have given me my most troubles, and I have not yet faced and Seekers or Mystics.  Psychics, I have not decided yet, but seem about the same as wizards. 

I figure when I get up over 80, I will get a better read on how well a Cleric will stack up against other Classes.  I am still PvPing against people who may not have the game experience that I do.  Not me tooting my horn at all, I am not Pro, but I have been around for a while and it takes time for people to deal with human battles, compared to PvE situations.

Perfect World Cleric for a PvP Server – Part 3

Back again today with an update to my Perfect World PvP Cleric.  It has, of course been a slow go for me.  Finding the time and energy to actually sit down and play has been a bit tough.  And what I have found is, I am not particularly great at playing a Cleric regularly.  I finally had to break down and Join a Faction.  I was finding it difficult to find people and time to do the things I needed to do.  And Soloing almost anything with any level of difficulty is almost impossible with a Cleric.  At least for me it is.

Where I am right now is Level 38.  I have been running into the common coin/spirit problems Clerics often complain about, so some of my skills I would prefer to have maxed have been left by the wayside.  I have set up permanent Kitty shop residence in order to make enough cash to buy skills, and I have resorted to dumping large amounts of EXP into my Genie in order to catch the skills up to the levels I would like to see them.

And I die occasionally, I have found that I often over estimate my clerics ability to solo mini-bosses.  It is just the nature of things I guess. 

So, This is why I have broken down and joined a faction.  I will not mention the name of such faction, to maintain my annonymity.   But I will say it is a Level 3 with over 100 members.  And I will say that they seem to have enough high level members to allow me to get done what I need to get done.

I still have not completed my FB19.  Not to mention my 29 and soon to be 39.  I am falling behind.  I have been spending most of my time farming, and cleaning up all the old quests I never got around to doing before.

But other than that, life is good.  I have been following a pure build format.  9 magic, 1 strength every other level.  My first few levels I added a couple points into Vitality, but I do still plan to restat that and add it all to magic.  I know some people believe that you should add Vit to a Cleric.  And in many ways I do believe the same, but I am more interested in creating a powerhouse, even at the cost of some survivability.  I was hoping that with my buffs and Heals that I would be able to compensated for that.  In some instances I have.  But I have noticed, I have two mini bosses right now that I just do not have the HP to solo.  Haggist Geslot and Yangshen, both hit too hard and leave me with no chance to heal and deal damage at the same time.

As far as PvP is concerned, I still have not participated so much, other than the occasional Ganking from high levels that is.  I have only been lucky enough to beat one person who tried to Gank me, I am guessing he/she assumed I was a lower level than I was because I was taking care of a quest I should have about 8 levels ago.

Gear wise.  I am using mostly rank gear right at this moment.  I lucked out and manufactured a 3star magic ring, I am forgetting the name but it is a mid 30’s level ring.  And I am using a 2 star Raybender magic sword with magic attack bonuses on it. 

Coming up for the 40’s, I am looking at trying to aquire a Wheel of Fate.  They are way expensive, so we will see how well that works out for me.  Along with manufacturing my level 40 armor. 

I will report back soon.  I am expecting to get my FB19 done tonight.  I am expecting that I will also try to get some of the mini bosses I have left, done tonight also.  We will see how that goes.

Perfect World Cleric for a PvP Server - Part 2

First off I have to hop up on my podium and bitch for a moment! 

I am already sick and tired of the High level Noobs who get enjoyment out of PK'ing the level 30 somethings that are questing on the north side of Archosaur.  It is lame and gutless for the level 70+ characters to even be bothering with level 30 somethings.

Let's move on now.  I have freed myself of the hate of these people, now I can get to the primary concern of this post.  And that is My level 36 PvP Cleric.  And how I am progressing with her.  And what I think of her so far, my build statistics and everything else I can think of writing about her.

As you my know from my previous post.  I am building this Cleric as a pure build.  9 Mag, 1 Str every other level.  Recently I have been dumping a bit of my EXP into my Genie, mostly to limit leveling speed and to actually catch some of my skills up.  Spirit has been a HUGE problem.  As of right now, I am lucky to keep primary skills like Plume Shot, Great Cyclone and Ironheart up to current.  Let alone any of the VERY useful buffs that come with being a Cleric.

As far as leveling, I have been primarily questing and occasionally grinding, mostly in order to build up a surplus of drop materials in order to generate some income with the character.  That and to make sure I keep my manufacturing up to date also. 

Damage output is solid, I would like it higher, I am getting close to biting the bullet and restating my VIT.  to squeeze that last little drop out of her.  Currently I am averaging about 1400 HP damage on mobs with Plume Shot, Great cyclone averages a bit less, more like 1000. 

As far as PvP.  So far I have not really participated in PvP.  I don't think I would do all that well.  I do believe that once I am able to get my skills caught up, I will be much more effective.  But until then I will probably keep PvP to a minimum.  Other that the constant PK I am getting from the high levels.

So, I will keep plugging away.  I am hoping to break 40 in the next few days.  I am expecting that after I break 50 I will start a new class character.  But will keep you all informed about what I have learned.

Perfect world Cleric for PvP server

I have always stayed away from PvP with clerics.  I had always viewed them as a support class only and really didn't look at them as a class that really can be overly effective in PvP.  But, being that I am wiping the slate with my old characters and starting fresh this winter, I figured I would give a Cleric on PvP a whirl and see what I come up with.

Generally speaking, I am not a real active PvP'er to begin with, I don't go looking for fights.  It is not really my thing.  It's a big part of the reason I have spent a big portion of my Perfect world life on PvE.  But, this year, my intentions are to have one character on every server, and one of every class.  So, my first character of the season is a cleric.  I put her on a PvP server, and this is where she stands.

Generally I am going with a pure build.  I did slip 5 points into Vit.  But after playing, I am thinking I am gonna restat to 3 vit and put that all into Mag.  Mostly because my damage is really close to being able to finish mobs in two hits and I do believe the extra few points will get me there.  I really have not run into any survivability issues.  But I have to admit I am always charmed, mostly for convenience.  I currently have a platinum Mp and a bronze HP.  The Hp charm is highly annoying, because of the low vit, I have been burning it up like crazy, and it is mostly due to the fact that I have not got heal timing down, I am casting heal just as the charm ticks.  so, after I use up this charm I may roll with no HP for a bit and see how things go.

Currently I am only level 28.  really close to 29.  So I have not tried my hand at any PvP.  I am pretty sure that once I break 30, I will give it a whirl.

As far as skills.  I set priorities as follows.

Plume Shot
Great Cyclone
Iron Heart
Vanguard Spirit
Other Buffs
Razor Feathers
Wellspring Surge

But Due to Spirit issues, I am only able to keep the top 3 maxed consistently.  And the others tend to run a level or two late.  I also have revive, and Thunderball....

I find Thunderball Useless


Hopefully over the next week or so I will be able to find some more playing time.  I am in the middle of some computer maintenance at home.  Once I am set.  I will be attempting to Run Perfect World on Ubuntu.  It is a new one for me though, so it may become a complete failure.  We will see.

Perfect World International Character Guides

Well, I am back again with some updates on the Perfect world Character Guides.  You might notice the new tabs at the top of the sheet.  I have added basic build guides for all the classes on the blog.  Assassin Basic Build, Archer Basic Build, Barbarian Basic Build, Blademaster Basic Build, Cleric Basic Build, Psychic Basic Build, Venomancer Basic Build and Wizard Basic Build.

I have done this out of Demand I guess you might say.  It seems that most of the people that find this blog, do so by searching for build Guides, so, I figured I would give you what you want.  Now it does come at a cost.  They are not very in depth, I am making more detailed guides on my HubPage account.  I like the layout there, and it gives me some better traffic, because Hubpages are a naturally strong content site.  I am also going to be relocating all Quest Guides.  Currently, I have the Human Quest Guide, Level 1-19 relocated here.

I do appreciate all the people who do stop by and see what I have here and hope that the changes I am implementing will only bring more.  While I do not have as much time to actually play the game, I am continuing my research and I will try to provide you with the best information I can.

Perfect world International Character Class Build Guides

When I started this blog, I didn’t really know what I was going for.  I figured I would just use it to talk about my time playing perfect world.  But what I noticed, when I really started thinking about it all.  Was, when I search the internet for information about Perfect world international, I sometimes have a very difficult time finding anything.  I know that this is not due to lack of interest in the game, but just a lack of people willing to share information about the game.  And one of the Biggest Questions I see is about Character Builds and guides for building the best character, whether that is a Wizard or Blademaster, Asassin or Venomancer, Everyone wants to make sure they are building their characters properly.  You all want to make sure you are allocating your Attribute points properly, or using the best weapon for your class, or Genie skills.  It is all very subjective, but I wanted to provide you with rock solid tips on building your own perfectworld Character.

I am placing my guides in many locations, and I have started a new website, it is called Perfect World International Tips.  The web site has a blog, and a forum and a location with all my external guides and build guides.  It is very young and I am still trying to build membership, but I can promise you that any question asked will get my personal attention in a very quick fashion.

I hope that these guides give you some good insight into the inner workings of your perfect world Character.  And while I try to show you all possible variables in building a perfect world character, I will try not to tell you that there is only one way to build your character, because there is not, there are many different methods that can be used to build any of the perfect world classes and a lot will depend on what it is you are trying to accomplish.
