Venomancer Build Basics

Venomancer Build Guide Basics
From my experience with playing Perfect World International, I have found some really off the wall builds.  This applies to all classes.  To some extent I can understand experiments.  But I am not speaking in experiments here.  I am going to provide you with solid and proven Venomancer Build Information, to help you create the best Venomancer that you can.  Below is what I would consider as basic information you will need in order to build your Perfect world Venomancer the right way.

Understanding your Venomancer
Venomancers are tricky.  They have a whole lot of options open to them, and I don’t really know how to classify them.  In human form, venomancer's are an average ranged magical damage dealer, with a built in tank.  In fox form they have really good physical defense for a magical character, with a melee distance magical attack.  Their buff is better suited for a barbarian or a Blademaster, and really, why would you spend much time fighting melee distance when you can stand back and let your battle pet take the beating for your.  But, venomancers are easy, they are the easiest class to play in my mind and the most forgiving in the way of stats, also.

In a solo setting Venomancers may be the best.  With their battle pets as a built in tank and their ranged magical attacks, they can level pretty quickly without much need for assistance.  They, along with Blademasters are the best solo classes in the game.  I give the edge to blademasters, due to the array of AOE’s and mass destruction they can cause later on in game.  This keeps them leveling fast.

In a squad setting Venos play a role similar to blademasters, they can use their battle pet as a back up tank, and they can use them to pull aggro on any mob that may slip past the barbarian.  They also can lure mobs from groups of mobs, it takes practice, but this can be especially useful with those exploding mobs.  And your tank will be very grateful to you if you can learn this tactic.  One other thing to remember when in squad as a Veno.  Your not there to be a damage dealer, you are there as a backup tank AND for your debuff abilities.  Meaning you will spend most of your time in fox form while you are in squad.

Understanding Venomancer Statistics
For every level gained, Venomancers receive increases in some of their statistics.  HP, and MP being the primary focus here.  For every level Gained, you will receive 24hp and 24mp.  This is where the problem starts with Venomancers.  For most builds, you can find the classes strengths and weaknesses and you build on their strength in order to hide their weakness.  But it doesn’t work with venomancers.  They are a balanced class.  Meaning, you have to balance your build with them.  Now, don’t get me wrong, they are magical class, this means they should be treated as such.  Physical weapons serve no purpose with a Venomancer.

You also receive about 0.5 points per level to both your physical attack and your magical attack.  This doesn’t matter much.  You may even wonder why you receive anything in physical, because you are a magical.  Like I said, you’re a balanced class, and this does play a role.  While in fox form, your forced to play close to your enemy, this means you will need some physical attack if you want to survive, when your mana drops.

Dexterity
Depending on your build, you may be adding Dexterity to your Venomancer build.  Light Armor will require you to add to your Dexterity.  If you go pure magical, no dexterity will be added.  For every Dexterity point you add you get 7 accuracy points and 6 evasion points.

Vitality
Chances are that, with whatever build you go with, you are not going to have too many spare points to add to vitality.  Venomancers natural HP level is pretty good. And with a battle pet taking most of the damage, they really don’t have much need for additional HP.  But, if you do decide to spend some points on Vitality, you get 12 HP per vitality point, which is not too bad.

Strength
Strength again, serves no purpose other than to wear the latest gear of your choice, whether that is from your weapon or your armor.  But very little points will be spent on strength with a venomancer, more than likely

Magic
Magic is very important.  Venomancers are a magical class.  They receive 12 MP from every magic point, and are able to carry the latest weapons, which is pretty important.

Venomancer Gear
There are two different ways to look at Venomancers; I will focus mostly on a balanced build when I am working on guides for them.  This means I am going to be wearing light armor.  You can go pure magical, and wear robes.  But I focus on strengths and a Venos strength is in its versitility.  I believe that light armor aids in that.

If you go robes, I would say Physical Ornaments, but if you go light armor, I say, either or, it will depend on your style.  If you spend a lot of time in squads and in fox form, you may want physical, if you are mostly in human form, you may want elemental.

Weapons will always be magical.  I have no preference with Venos, other than the best magical weapon I can find.
